Church RENEW Retreat
All church members and regular attenders are invited to consider attending a church RENEW retreat on November 21 from 8 am – 3 pm. As we celebrate the history of our almost 175 years, this is a good opportunity to re-set our eyes on God’s mission for St. John. Our RENEW retreat will ask honest questions and seek Gospel clarity. Together we will have conversation about our strengths, gifts, growing-edges, and what we feel God is calling us to become. We will take time to reflect prayerfully on our mission, health, and witness – considering what God is doing now, remembering our God-given purpose, and aligning our church ministries with Jesus’ calling to make disciples. The day will utilize a structured format of questions and idea-sharing. Please pray for this event, consider filling out the accompanying church survey, and consider attending.
If you have questions or comments, please reach out to the RENEW team: Pr. Alliyah, Bill O, and Mike B.
Christian Education Opportunities
Join the Women's Group in studying Max Lucado's "Because of Bethlehem". Through this study you will gain a greater understanding of the ‘One’ who chose to leave heaven and come to earth as an infant, completely human. Because of Bethlehem we have the promise that God is always near us and always within us so that we may be His Face in this world serving others. They will continue this study on the first Wednesday of the month at 10 AM.
You can also join us for “They Walked With God” after worship on Sundays in the Parish Hall as we study different characters from the Bible. This study will continue every Sunday after church omitting the first Sundays of the month.
