Service Opportunities & Mission Partners

At St. John we believe part of our mission is to Serve the World with Christ's love, through our time, talents, and resources. There are many ministries that St. John supports locally, nationally, and internationally.

  • Local Ministry

At different times during the year St. John holds collections for food pantries of Greenville. We also have a team that serves the Soup Kitchen on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.

Other local ministries and service-projects we’re involved with are our Pay-It-Forward program, our annual St. John Bible Blitz, St. John’s Darke Co Shoe Ministry, the Community Christmas Drive, Darke Co Pregnancy Center, Youth For Christ and more!

  • National Ministry

St. John serves our nation through collecting donations, items, and flood-buckets for disaster relief with the NALC Disaster Relief Team.

Other national ministries we support are Lutheran Veterans and Family Ministries, the North American Lutheran Seminary, and our denomination the NALC.

  • International Ministry

St. John is proud to have raised funds to support the building of 4 Life Pumps by Design Outreach in Malawi, Africa. We continue to support and pray for the communities that have received these pumps.

Other international ministries we support through prayer and our offerings are House of Hope Orphanage in Tanzania, One-Plus-God ministries, and World Mission Prayer League.

  • Local Mission Projects

We get inspired throughout the year to work on service projects or special collections for local and national ministries such as Darke Co Pregnancy Center, Rustic Hope, Lulu’s House, GRCC, FISH Bank, Michael’s Home, and more.
